South Asian Cuisine Scholarship Programme
Financial assistance by way of a Scholarship fund for undergraduate students committed to pursuing careers in South Asian cuisine, are available at the London School of Hospitality, at the University of West London.
The London School of Hospitality is widely regarded as a leading centre of hospitality and tourism education in the UK. Former students can be found amongst chief executives of leading hotels, renowned chefs and even a senior member of the royal household.
The scholarships have been brought about by an initiative led by the Rt Hon Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for the Department for Communities and Local Government, Noon Products and the Asian Restaurants Skills Board.
Scholarship students will pursue an undergraduate course of study leading to a degree in Culinary Arts Management. These half-fee remission scholarships are linked to placement opportunities in prestigious London based South Asian restaurants and also include the opportunity to be mentored by some of the most renowned chefs such as Vivek Singh, Andy Varma and Cyrus Todiawala.
